PhD Students - We may have 1 PhD position open to start in Fall 2026. Please apply to the University of California at Los Angeles, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering PhD Program. If you are on financial aid or have participated in select diversity programs, see UCLA Graduate Education's fee waiver information. Due to a high email volume, Dr. Yoshida will not respond to PhD student inquiries. 

High Schoolers, Undergraduates, & Master's Students - We are always looking for hard-working, innovative students to regularly work in our lab, both students at UCLA and around the globe.

We highly encourage all students to seek fellowships, scholarships, and other summer programs to participate in research with the lab. If you are an undergraduate, please apply to the NSF GRFP in the fall of your senior year, and please reach out to our lab to share your interests. If you are an Indigenous student, please reach out directly to Dr. Yoshida, as there are additional mentorship & scholarship programs available.
