Hi! I'm Luke, and I am a mechanical engineering PhD student studying soft robotics and haptics for the Mohala lab. I did my mechanical engineering undergrad at the University of Portland, where I also spent a year as a co-op student working in manufacturing. I love mechanical design, particularly human-centered and iterative applications, and am super excited to be working on soft robots and haptics.

BS Student in Physiological Science

I am an undergraduate student in Physiological Science studying how to integrate smartphone haptics to educate underserved communities on reaction-based biomechanics and human physiology. I am passionate about extending technology beyond typical engineering disciplines into healthcare and youth mentorship. Outside of the lab I enjoy surfing, fitness, baking, and gardening!
